Kodaikanal Today is a locally-run travel guide to Kodaikanal, Tamil Nadu. The site brings together live weather, attractions, events, road and safety updates, a distance planner and trip-planning guides in English and Tamil.
We also help visitors find a place to stay. We list hand-picked hotels, homestays, cottages and resorts, and you book directly with the owner on WhatsApp. Our office is on Lake Road, near the Boat House, Kodaikanal.
Editorial policy
Every page is published by the Kodaikanal Today editorial team. We do not publish under individual names.
How we gather information
- Local knowledge. Attraction, route, food and stay guidance comes from people who live and work in Kodaikanal.
- Owner-confirmed hotel details. Room types, rates, amenities and contact details for each stay are provided or confirmed by the property owner. Rates shown are owner-listed, so confirm the exact price for your dates on WhatsApp.
- Official sources for events, roads and safety. For festivals and events, road conditions and safety notices, we rely on official announcements and notices wherever they exist, and say so on the page.
- Live data. Weather on the site comes from a live weather service for Kodaikanal's elevation, and refreshes automatically.
How and when we update
- Pages show an Updated date. That date reflects when our team last reviewed the page, not the day the page was loaded.
- We review road, safety and event pages whenever official notices or local conditions change, and re-check the rest of the guide regularly.
